Gift Time!!!

This year for Christmas, my parents told me, I had already gotten my gift, and I was getting nothing. I knew that wasn't the case, I would still get little things, but I was BLOWN AWAY! Just before I left for Disney, my parents said not to worry about paying them for the plane and the meal plan for my trip, that they would pay. Ummm SCORE! So with that in mind, I knew I would be getting little things. Also, the day I left for Disney, my brother surprised me with a new digital camera, how lucky am I?!
Fast Forward to Christmas morning, yes my brother had 18 presents, but I was fine with it. I had a bunch, mostly little boxes, and like 2 clothing boxes.

This is what I got:

Love the color!!!!

I love this necklace, and the pink stones around the edge.

Something that was on my wish list for a long time!

Def will get use out of this...the whole shirt has sequins, with more at the bottom, hard to see.

And of course I got gift cards galore! Can't wait to shop!

typical Jersey

I just want to start off by saying, not everyone in Jersey is like how the cast of Jerseylicious is. Maybe a small percentage is, but def not most people. However, being from Jersey, we def stick out, and we have our own sense of style and we really don't care if you like it or not.
That being said, I am a smokey eye and nude lip kind of girl. Typical Jersey, I know!! I use black (carbon by mac, le duh! ) maybe like 6 out of 7 days a week when doing my eye makeup. Now, that doesn't mean that I have black all over my lid and from lash line to brows! Def not! I put a lighter color, almost nude on my lid, and then use carbon in my crease to make my eyes pop, then blend the crap out of it! When I am done, you can't even tell its totally black, it takes on more a greyish tone from blending.
However, a night time look....well the blacker the better! That's jersey style! I usually use dreamy from lorac and carbon from mac mixed in with a little bit of either contrast or silver ring, both from mac. When going out, I always put more make up on then I think I need because being in a club or bar, you get so hot, it moves, it comes off,so to me, its better to start off with more, then to fix it and add more in the gross bathroom.

Here are some looks I have come across that just scream me!

I always love a defined brow, but define and dramatic are two different things!! This one is way too harsh, but the eyes are amaze!

This is like what I do on a daily basis, minus extending the eye.

Oh la la Lashes!

My favorite topic! We all know my lashes down right SUCK! You know how I try everything, and layer on the products and they are still just eh. Well, a few weeks ago, I took the plunge.....I got eye lash extensions!!!
I've been waiting to do this post, to see how they held up. I have to go back this week for a "fill." It is where they replace the lashes that have fallen off. Surprisingly, I haven't lost too many lashes, but I do feel like they are a little sparse as compared to when I first got them done. Then again, I notice it because they are mine, but I don't think it is as noticeable to someone else looking at me.
In order to get the extensions, your lashes have to be completely clean, also, if you wear contacts, like myself, you had to wear your glasses after the application is complete to allow the glue to dry. You also, cannot get your lashes wet, so no shower for 24 hrs. Another requirement is that you need to use an oil free makeup remover. If you use an oil based makeup remover, it will breakdown the bond between the natural lash and the extension. Also, you should comb them so they don't get matted.
It was a little difficult in the beginning getting used to them, but I have come to realize, they aren't as fragile as I was treating them. I am so beyond happy that I got my lashes done. My makeup takes maybe 10 minutes now, because I don't need any mascara or anything. I comb my lashes and go!

This is a before pic....do I even have lashes??

Don't mind the creepy eye pics, this was the only way I could capture them.

And yes, I got my eyebrows done, sorry for looking like a snuffleupagus.

Disney Recap

Hello Everyone!!! I know I missed you guys also! My parents were away for ten days so it was just my brother and I and his girlfriend that I love so much home alone. Needless to say it was an amazing ten days filled with friends, vodka, take out, beer, dominos at 2am, and more alcohol. So sorry for the delay, but here is how my disney trip went!

My brother's girlfriend was a first time visitor. We had 2 one bedroom hotel rooms at Saratoga, there was one hotel room between us, which was nice, we were close enough, but far enough away for our own space.

We are the poncho wearing family...it rained, we explored.

Epcot had there Food and Wine festival going on which was amazing, if you have never been during food and wine, go!!! There are a total of thirty that's right 30 countries, each with 3 food options and a few alcoholic options. Amazing!

Family pic!

Fun in Mexico!
Tequila Shots in Mexico

After the shot...no that's not sunburn on my face!

My cousins came up Friday, and left us on Sunday :( It was so good to see my cousins and see how big Jake is getting! I cannot believe he is five already! I remember when he was just six months old!!

Best product ever!

I am such a product junkie, and when I find one that I like, well I stick to it like glue. About a month ago, I went to a makeup class at Mac, and got a bunch of face makeup. Honestly though, who has time every morning to wash your face, moisturize, put on the primer, put on the foundation, the concealer, then the highlighter, then the powder, then the blush? And that's just for your face, not including any eye or lip makeup...yuck!! So yes, I purchased a new face primer, and a highlighter, and a new blush. The foundation and concealer I already owned.

I bought this new primer that we used in class, and it is also tinted in four different shades for different issues a person might have. I got it in neutralize because I have what I call natural blush, its redness, mostly in my cheeks. When I drink, holy hell the redness gets wayyy worse, almost like a sunburn. Back to the product, its a primer/skin enhancer, and I can't stop raving about it. It kind of reminds me of a tinted moisturizer, with thin coverage, but I put it on, and don't even put foundation over it. I have good skin, so I don't need foundation, the redness just annoys me, so I put this on, then put powder over it, and then blush and my skin looks amazing minus the red of course. Here is the product if anyone is interested. Oh and I forgot to mention, it also contains SPF...score! One more thing, this week, my mom got her botox done, and she had some bruising under the skin, I put this on her face under her foundation, and you could hardly see the bruises. Seriously amazing!!!

Prep + Prime Fortified Skin Enhancer SPF 35

These are the 4 tints....Illuminate, Neutralize, Adjust, and Recharge

This is the Mac website's description:
A tinted skin primer formulated with soft-focus powders to help even out skin tone and add radiance. Lightweight and invisible, it goes on under foundation or powder for a naturally perfect look and subtle glow. Helps protect against pollution and UV rays with SPF 35 protection. Available in four tints: Illuminate adds radiance to a sallow complexion; Neutralize calms a red, blotchy complexion; Adjust brightens dull skin; and Recharge adds a little "boost" to any dull complexion. Fragrance free.

Another OPI collabo

Nicki Minaj for OPI, will hit shelves this January. I am not a fan of Nicki, and when I saw her this summer open for Brit Brit, well awful was too nice of a word for her act. I will say she does push the envelope with fashion, and she is always confident no matter how wacky the get up. I mean, the mask was a little much, but usually there is some aspect of her outfit I like. Anyway, here are the six colors...1 shatter of course, a neat color too! Her collection includes "Pink Friday", which is a shimmering pink polish with blue and yellow accents, "Metal 4 Life," which is a chunky silver glitter polish, "Save Me," which has long, thin silvery rainbow glitter pieces, "Fly," which is a solid bright aqua hue, "Did It On 'Em," which is a neon lime color, and "Super Bass," which is a shimmery purple crackle topcoat.

I love the 2nd one, Pink Friday and the third one, Save me.

Gallery Wall

Hope you guys don't mind the shift in gears to a home post today. It's a nice change to do a home decor post. I might be a bit late on this trend, but I love it! I think it is a great day to display your favorite (old and new) photos. I never really had a wall that I would be able to utilize to do this, but since moving a tall and wide piece of furniture in the living room, now I do!

There are two problem with this gallery wall, and could use a little help. There is no black or dark colors in the room, so I was thinking of white and cream colored frames, only issue is, my wall is a light yellow...not sure how the lighter frames will look on that.
Second issue, well this is a stumper! My father, recently (in the past 2 years) lost 135 lbs!!! I know, what a huge accomplishment dad! That being said, he hates to see pictures of the "fat" him. So I need to choose wisely, but I also want to include some pictures from vacations and such when my brother and I were younger. I don't know how he will take to "fat" pictures of him being on display in our living/dining room.
I wanted to do this as a surprise for my parents when they are going away one weekend, however, thinking about it, I don't want to do it, and choose pictures he is not comfortable with displaying.

These are some images of gallery walls that I absolutely love!!! I also love the different shapes of the frames. I am on the hunt for some cool oval frames.

This one is by far my fav!

I love how the & sign is used....maybe I can incorporate a R somehow.
